The programs of the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce serve members and the community. In addition to the programs listed below, the chamber also has several Action Committees dedicated to serving members and the community.
Each year the Chamber holds the Annual Banquet to celebrate its accomplishments. This Banquet allows the Chamber to recognize an extraordinary citizen of Kinston and Lenoir County as having “rendered outstanding services to Lenoir County” by presenting the Citizen of the Year Award. Ambassador of the Year is also recognized at this event.
Leadership Lenoir is an educational program concentrating on a variety of areas significant to the success of Kinston and Lenoir County. Participants become more familiar with the community they serve. It provides an opportunity for learning individual and team dynamics and how to work with different personalities and situations. They will study the qualities that make a leader, analyze their individual leadership roles and develop their leadership styles and skills.

The Chamber’s Administrative Professionals Luncheon is held annually during Administrative Professionals Week. Thank your hard working employees by treating them to a delicious lunch, door prizes, and entertainment. The highlight of the luncheon is the presentation of the Administrative Professional of the Year Award.

The Festival on the Neuse is one of Eastern North Carolina’s fastest growing and most anticipated events of the spring. The Festival spotlights what Kinston and Lenoir County are known for far and wide - namely, great bands, delicious barbecue, golf tournament, local entertainment, and educational fun activities for children.
TLC is a grassroots initiative developed by the Business and Tourism Committee of the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce. In our county alone, roughly $12 million is needed to help fund our parks, roads, schools and more. Through this initiative, when you buy locally, those sales tax dollars help us reach that multi-million dollar number. When you shop elsewhere, you fund that community's projects.

Small Businesses make a huge impact on the economy in our community. Each year the Chamber recognizes the outstanding Small Business, Minority Business, and Micro-Enterprise Business of the Year at the Small Business Awards/Luncheon.

Eggs and Issues or Pancakes and Politics is a four-part series designed to highlight a variety of current and pressing business, civic and political issues. It is a breakfast forum featuring prominent speakers, policy analysts and political experts specializing in issues on local and state levels.
President’s Forum/Straight Talk
This evening forum will address issues of importance within the community featuring timely topics in legislative, economic, educational, and business matters. The forum draws from a pool of resources and individuals creating energy and ideas pertinent to doing business in Kinston-Lenoir County.
