The Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce is a 501 (c) 6 non-profit association of more than 650 members. It is an organization made up of businesses, agencies, nonprofits and individual members that join together for the common good of promoting business and the general welfare and prosperity of our community. Through this association the Chamber Board of Directors and members invest their time, talents and financial support to provide benefits, programs, services and a voice to the community and fellow members businesses. The Chamber is constantly working to promote business, quality education, and economic growth while striving to meet the needs of the community.
Each year the Chamber of Commerce invites its entire membership to participate in a Planning Conference. The purpose is to collectively identify issues, programs and projects that the Chamber should undertake in the coming year. This collection of ideas is then used to help construct a document we call the Plan of Work. We invite you to read the current year’s Plan of Work. Copies are also available at the Chamber office.
The purpose of the Historic Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce is to continue developing an economically prosperous business district while maintaining the character and integrity of Kinston-Lenoir County, making it the "heartbeat" of the community.
The Historic Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce is a united effort promoting commerce, culture, trade, good fellowship and cooperative relationships amidst diverse individuals and businesses. The majority of the membership of the Chamber is made up of individuals and businesses within the city of Kinston-Lenoir County.
The Historic Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Kinston-Lenoir County Tourism Development Authority, is also dedicated to raising the awareness of the Kinston-Lenoir County area through tourism, and markets the area as a tourist destination.
